We have appointed six highly skilled professionals to our team as our accountancy and advisory firm continues to experience significant growth across both client base and service offerings. The new appointments have been made across the audit, accounts, and business advisory functions, bringing a wealth of expertise and financial sector knowledge to drive further success, reinforcing our commitment to excellence, innovation, and a forward-looking approach.

As part of our strategic evolution, we are also delighted to welcome back Paul Archibald as the Director of the newly created Business Advisory Strategic Services (BASS) division. Paul, who originally trained at Hall Morrice to complete his ICAS Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification in 2010, will lead this division with a focus on financial planning, digital transformation, and data analytics.

Having spent the last 10 years gaining extensive industry experience as a financial controller, Paul brings a depth of understanding to key client focus areas and perspectives.

Commenting on his return, Paul said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Hall Morrice during an exciting time of transition for the firm. It’s great to be back to where I began my accountancy career and I’m looking forward to drawing on my existing skills and expertise to play a key role in the strategic direction and growth of the firm.”

In addition to Paul’s return to the business at Director level, the series of new appointments also includes:

  • Loreta Hlabangana joins the Audit team as Audit Manager with over 20 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and team development with global firms such as PwC and Deloitte.
  • Clinton Danso steps into the role of Audit Assistant Manager, bringing valuable expertise in statutory audits, financial reporting, and technology-driven processes, with an emphasis on leveraging cutting-edge software to improve efficiency and audit quality.
  • Frazer McCuaig, who recently completed his ICAS Chartered Accountant training, has been appointed as Audit Senior to further strengthen our firm’s technical auditing skills.
  • Sameer Gouda, with a strong background in coding and financial technology, will support key digital transformation initiatives and enhance internal reporting capabilities in the role of Data Integration and IT Audit Engineer.
  • Slava Petrova returns to Aberdeen after a decade in Australia and Bulgaria. She has been appointed as Audit and Accounts Senior, bringing a diverse range of audit and accounts experience, including expertise in the charity sector.

In line with our commitment to innovation and future-focused growth, the firm’s 2025 graduate recruitment drive is also progressing well. We’re pleased to welcome Scott Watt Jaroensukpattana, a recent graduate from the University of St Andrews, who is joining Hall Morrice to gain practical experience ahead of commencing his CA studies.

Jack Borg-Delaney, Audit Director, Hall Morrice, commented on the key new appointments:
