Bob Bain is a practicing certificate holder and meets the Companies Act requirements to be a company auditor. Bob is a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and is a Chartered Tax Adviser. Bob studied at the University of Aberdeen and graduated with a Master of Arts in Accountancy and Political Economy in 1987.
He subsequently undertook, with a local Aberdeen firm, his Chartered Accountancy training contract and qualified as a CA in 1990, then moved to an international firm to take his Chartered Tax Adviser professional qualification which he achieved in 1994.
Bob followed this up by starting his own firm, Bain Masson & Co, which he ran until 1997 whereupon the firm merged with Hall Morrice LLP, where he now holds the post of Managing Partner.
Bob’s extensive experience covers a number of industry sectors including construction and a variety of audit, accounting, tax, corporate finance and business advisory engagements with the firm’s client base. His focus is generally on owner managed entities.
